Ensure proactive and objective visibility to health, risks, and dependencies associated with IT projects/programs. Manage multiple large IT programs, defined as a collection of interdependent projects. Ensure operational excellence and develop high-performance project management talent. Work with business and technology partners to ensure delivery is on-time, on-budget, and on-scope.
-Build / Grow / Develop talent to support efficient and effective delivery of Enterprise portfolio
-Employ project management best practices (e.g. planning, scope management, risk/issue management, capacity analysis, etc.); ensure that project plans are aggressive yet realistic
-Serve as a change agent and influence business and technology partners to maintain focus and deliver projects on-time, within scope, and within budget
-Understand and curate program risks to ensure corrective action is taken before problems occur
-Perform cost management, estimating, budgeting, and cost control, tracking and reporting in a fast and efficient manner
-Manage and lead PMO associates and external resources (consultants and contractors) as necessary
-Drive the evolution of program methodology to improve efficiency, speed to delivery
-Must be curious about new ways of thinking and working
-Demonstrated experience (7-10 years of business experience) organizing, managing, and leading complex projects and teams
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to build strong relationships and act with empathy and humility
-Understanding of how projects work, and the ability to identify and avoid problems before they occur
-Must work well with others and be able to influence without authority
-Must have effectively managed a team of direct reports
-Formal training in project management practices is a plus
-Agile or Iterative experience preferred, not required
