Primary Purpose: The Assistant Store Manager - Talent and Operations drives total store sales and our high performance selling culture by leading talent support and store operational and talent excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
? Leads a team who manages talent and overall operations including; selection, learning and development, workforce management, merchandise flow, technology, maintenance/facilities, cash office and store safety to drive business results in a high performing culture
? Creates a best in class end to end candidate experience and drives this through the team
? Is proactive in sourcing talent from external sources/champions High Performance Selling hiring
? Working with store teams and hiring managers to up skill in selection best practice and techniques
? Gains business insight, links behaviors to results, and leverages talent metrics to create SMART action plans that improve culture, connectivity, and results, in partnership with the Store Manager
? Owns the development and implementation of a robust recruitment strategy to ensure no open roles
? Takes a leadership role, to ensure effective completion of the performance management cycle and processes including observations, action plans, reviews, and when applicable, performance improvement plans
? Conducts pro-active associate huddles to exchange feedback and keep a pulse on the environment and engagement
? Champions Associate Opinion Survey results and assists the team in the creation of action plan for improvement in partnership
? Understands our company compensation philosophy and uses this knowledge to provide guidance to SLT and influence effective pay related decisions
? Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition on a regular basis for best practice updates. And as needed to resolve associate concerns and escalated issues
? Engages with SLT regarding building a balanced team and workforce management staffing plans
? Ensures execution of effective weekly schedule for operations and talent organisation
? Ensures in store learning and development activities, sales leadership and store meeting content is properly executed in partnership with the Store Manager's
? Monitors and assists with associate retention strategies
? Responsible for the talent life cycle of direct reports, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management and terminations
