JOB TITLE: Designer - Development
DEPARTMENT: Store Design
REPORTS TO: Design Director or Design Manager
Review and process site information. Prepare floor plans, storefront elevations and other materials (such as renderings) to support design solutions.
-Responsible for executing multiple store projects within schedule and budget.
-Partner with architects and consultants for project-specific solutions as directed.
-Prepare sketches, perspectives, elevations and details as necessary to present to leadership in order to support chosen design solutions.
-Partner with construction, purchasing, visual merchandising and store operations as needed to support store projects.
-Advocate for design integrity, intention.
-Begin to understand the impact on merchandising and customer use.
-Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost or design integrity on assigned projects.
-Actively attend all partner meetings as needed to support projects.
-Prepare presentation materials and present projects to supervisor and team.
-Partner with construction and purchasing partners as directed.
-Work on design development projects as assigned.
-1-2 years of design experience working on retail projects
-Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, In Design and 3D rendering skills (hand sketch and computer)
-Current on design trends and competitive patterning
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional team members
-Strong attention to detail
-Established personal strategies to keep work organized in order to meet budgets and stay on schedule
-Desire to be a part of a high performance team
-B.S. in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design
