OVERVIEW:
Oversees multiple large scope and complex product categories supporting the Bath & Body Works brand.
-Manage and oversee at least one direct report to trouble shoot issues and navigate through decisions making processes; responsible for ensuring talent development and growth plan for associate (see Talent Management below).
-Meet with merchant and Design teams at outset of Projects to help drive opportunities and options for Design turnover.
-Work closely with Strategic sourcing on putting together bid package for all new components. Ensure that all in process have the proper capabilities in order to produce job to Merchant expectations .
-Influence and coordinate with Sourcing teams around vendor business awards; providing technical capabilities around vendor base.
-Responsible for tool qualification and/or component and filling start-ups as necessary.
-Leverage supply base to support all dimensions of the business: -Identify/implement opportunities for Innovations, Cost Savings, continuous Improvements and Speed within both package and process for new/existing products.
-Partner with functional and cross functional partners to build expertise and capabilities.
-Partnership with Commercialization Services for coordination of timeline and project execution with external clients.
-Coordinate special project/Fast Track Resource management and field initial project request.
-Responsible for form/fit/function of all package components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package Development/Execution
-Ownership of the development of custom projects for multiple sub brands / categories with a high level of complexity
-Overseas packaging execution and development for full team
-Reviews and interprets DTOs, including custom tooling
-Supplies information to the Brand on projects upfront
-Partners with Sourcing to determine which vendors should be used
-Approves tooling qualifications and print
-Makes vendor recommendations for quoting
-Makes strategic decisions on categories, vendor allocation and innovations, and hind sights completed projects to make improvements
-Trusted advisor and highly influential with the Brand. Handles initial conversations with Brand on potential issues and escalates to the Director as appropriate
-Holds the Package Engineer and Sr. Package Engineer accountable for package execution and development
-Handles development work for new launches, especially launches that are large volume and 'Win At' brands
-Delegates as appropriate to junior levels
-Attends press runs and line trials

Systems/Procedures
-May execute or delegate for own product categories:
1. Test orders/package Evaluation Requests (PERs)
2. Specifications for fill and assembly
3. Component Sample Request
-Approve Test Plans
-Ensure adherence to procedures
-Validate procedures are being followed, with focus on major programs

Commercialization/ Project Management
-Vendor Management, including influence of vendor selection (identifying technical elements around packaging components)
-First point of contact when there is an issue
-Decision making on issues that are low to medium complexity
-Partners with CSG to ensure timelines are met
-Reviews target cost with Packaging leader (Director or Associate Vice President)

Specialty Projects
-Strong relationships within Package development team
-Direct engagement with vendors and Brand Merchants & Design
-Builds internal relationship with all cross functional partners; including CSG, Operations Planning, and Technical Services
-Exposure to Mast Global leadership- influences direct reports, leadership team and cross functional teams
-Trusted advisor and influential with the Brand; showcasing technical skill sets
-Partnership with HR on talent and coaching
-Communications are on higher level issues - both tactical and strategic
-Relationship across Mast Global, including associates outside of Beauty and Home

QUALIFICATIONS:
-7+ years of related experience
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong organizational skills
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
-Ability to present complex information to non-technical cross functional associates

EDUCATION:
-BS Engineering, preferably in Package Development, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
