The Project Manger role has full accountability for our retail development projects from the inception of an approved real estate deal through the opening and warranty periods
Project Managers are directly responsible for the management of the architects and contractors, project schedules and financial forecasting. The role requires strong business/personal relationships with Brand counterparts, purchasing, design, finance, and real estate and maintenance partners. Project managers are responsible for issue identification, escalation, and resolution.
This project management role is a leadership position within our department, requiring positive team culture contributions including mentoring, supporting, and motivating. The role requires travel associated with jobsite visits in some cases up to 4 days a week in peak workload, approximately 30-40 days of travel per year with approximately 20-30 overnight stays.
Specific activities for the role may include;
-Review and coordination of site information
-Project permitting and LL approval
-Bidding, negotiating, and qualifying contracts
-Coordination of owner supplied materials
-Punch list completion
-Visual & Marketing support
-Contract, change order management
-Value engineering/cost reduction exercises
-Flexibility in peak work hour shift
The position requires a technical expertise that supports substantial tenant improvement construction scopes. In this role, high energy levels are key to self motivation, the ability to motivate team partners and to overcome barriers to success. Highly effective communication is essential to the coordination of the project team including internal and external partners. The ability to create reliable, collaborative business partnerships focused on achieving positive results is imperative.
Technologically savvy with proficiency in Typical PC software and web based systems (i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, etc.)
Degree from 4-year university in related field
