Support role for all aspects of the corporate income tax compliance functions, including the preparation and review of federal, state, and foreign income tax returns; conducting tax research and forming opinions; forecasting tax payments and payable balances, and coordinating projects to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. This position will facilitate and participate in driving the continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the income tax cycle, including estimates, provision, tax return and audit defense.


-Understand the income tax compliance cycle and process flow, drive process improvements to streamline and automate recurring calculations
-Prepare and review workpapers and returns for federal, state, and foreign tax obligations in an efficient manner to ensure compliance with tax laws
-Perform detailed analysis of book to tax differences and understand the technical merits of the differences
-Collaborate and support the income tax audit team on audit inquiries and issues
-Collaborate with tax accounting team to assist with, summarize, and communicate permanent, deferred, equity, and payable tax amounts
-Research and analyze the impact of federal, state, and foreign income tax law changes to the enterprise
-Partner with Finance teams to understand the corporate accounting policy changes and special transactions and to communicate and analyze the tax impact of these changes and transactions
-Perform tax research and prepare supporting memos for federal, state, and foreign tax positions as required
-Facilitate and participate in special projects and analysis as necessary; keep projects on schedule and communicate project status, challenges and recommend solutions to management


-Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
-CPA certificate preferred
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate income taxation is required with experience with large consolidated and multi-state corporations
-Experience in public accounting is highly preferred
-Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to walk through analyst and solutions with management and business partners
-Excellent project management skills and proven ability to multi-task within a collaborative and fast moving environment
-Proven ability to identify and drive process improvements
-High level of insight and analytical skills are necessary
-Experience with automated tax systems (OneSource or GoSystem), database management systems, and web-based research applications (Checkpoint, CCH) is desired
-Extensive experience with Microsoft software especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint is expected
