The Planning Trade Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Customs Planning Team of retail Brokerage Solutions (RBS) to assist in maintaining data used in export and subsequent import into foreign markets. This includes assigning and/or reviewing the classification of product under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States and other countries, recording the information for record keeping purposes, reviewing requirements for entry with various foreign government agencies, and adjusting data as required as requirements change.

Specific Responsibilities:
-Review styles that have been automatically classified by the brands or suppliers for accuracy.
-Add needed information to data fields in existing systems to support requirements for the export and import into foreign locations.
-Maintain correspondence and classification/data files in an orderly manner.
-Request additional documentation as needed for other foreign government requirements.
-Assists Specialists to provide classification guidance to sourcing and production partners.
-Cross-train with Specialists to increase knowledge of classification process and provide back-up support when required.
-Generate and disseminate export related reports.

-Must be well organized and detail orientated.
-Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, etc.).
-Knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System and U.S. Customs laws and regulations and entry procedure required.
-Experience in the importation of consumer products/textiles preferred.
-University degree required.
-Knowledge of SAP a plus
